“Do unto others as you would have done to you.”
More than anything else that is the philosophy that drives our practice. We try to treat our patients the way we would like to be treated. It starts up front where people answer our phones, not a computer phone attendant with a list of "menus". If your child is ill, we will do our best to get them evaluated in our office that day.
We know all of our patients and they all know us. We enjoy having a personal relationship with our families. Our nurses and physician spend a lot of time with our patients. This time is important as it is critical to getting the current diagnosis and make sure all of your questions are answered. It is very important as a parent that you understand what is wrong with your child, what the treatment or tests are and when you should expect your child to get better. We also want to be sure a visit to our office is a pleasant experience. We enjoy taking care of your child and we want your child to view coming to the doctor as a fun experience, not a scary one. We also want our parents to feel comfortable with their child’s care and to feel free to ask any questions or express any concerns they may have. We don’t want the children to be scared at the doctor and we don’t want the parents to be scared of either.
We pride ourselves in being up to date with the newest technology. Our office uses computerized medical records and all your child’s vaccines are stored on a statewide database for access at any time the records are needed. Any time your child needs a referral to a specialist we use Children's Hospital at Scottish Rite and Emory. Our computer system integrates with the hospital, labs, specialists and emergency room at Children's Healthcare. This provides us immediate access to anything done through Children's Healthcare at Scottish Rite or Emory. All of our physicians know and feel comfortable consulting pediatrics specialists any time it is needed.
Our office is conveniently located next to Children's Healthcare at Scottish Rite and a shuttle is available to transport you if needed. There is a pharmacy in our building and they do an excellent job of stocking a wide variety of pediatric medicines.
The quality of medicine practiced here is excellent. All of the physicians are board certified and trained at excellent schools and residencies. Our nursing staff are equally well trained, compassionate and have years of experience.
We put CARE back into healthcare
